The culture of St. Kitts and Nevis, which is rich, vibrant and festive, has grown mainly out of the tradition of the Africans that were brought to the islands during slavery.
Additionally, the influence of the Caribs, English, French, Spanish, and Irish is interwoven in our culture.
From the smiling faces of respectful people, and the hospitality, you are bound to create long lasting friendships with the I-landers and have memories that you’ll always remember.
St. Kitts and Nevis celebrates 40 years of National Carnival! However, we were celebrating long before National Carnival. In keeping with this milestone we have compiled a publication, featuring some of our I-landers. Their faces can be viewed in our Slide Times. Click on the Carnival link at the top for more information.
If St. Kitts and Nevis is not your home, do visit again. After seeing how I-landers identify themselves, you should be able to talk the I-Land talk and walk the I-land walk. You should be able to do the limbo, the twists and share the vibrancy of our culture, provided that you have rejuvenated yourself with our scrumptious food and beverages.
With guaranteed all year round sunshine, jubilate, wave our national flag and dance to the rhythm of the steel pan and African drums.
